Policy Advocacy: Children today deserve to live a better life in the society
Every child deserves a green life…
The Green Child International Organization is empowering children, thus reducing barriers that limit them, and giving them an equal stand in the society by advocating for better policies. Around the world, by extant statistics nearly one in three children – roughly
663 million – live in poverty. Of these, some 385 million experience extreme poverty, struggling to survive on less than $1.90 a day. Children – especially young children – are more likely to live in poverty than adults. They are also more vulnerable to its effects.-UNICEF
POLICY MAKERS We understand that the governments have a major role in policy-making. If the government will consider the children and their social welfare in policy-making, we stand to believe that a remarkable impact will be achieved. The decisions of governments about where and how to channel public resources are vital to giving a child a green future all around the world. If governments can provide access to better health care services and education support fund. Children in the society will surely have a secured future having reduced the major challenges children face in our society today.
